You might be confused why my name is su6o and how it's linked to su4o, and what's the whole point of having these 2 accounts.
My first ever account on GitHub was su4o. It was an account I used for various testing of a LOT of forks. Such as proxies and more proxies and more proxies... Ok, there was some other stuff, but proxies were the main part. I really hated how I couldn't go on websites at school, not for gaming purposes, but in general, it felt like my freedom wasn't free anymore. I was interested in proxies because they were a way to bypass these filters, specifically Cisco Umbrella. At the end, all I really did was maybe watch some YouTube videos here and there. I used to fork tons and tons of these GitHub proxy projects and test them out. It felt amazing. Like I was so interested for no reason. I don't want to go to my past as much, cause I've moved on. (No, I didn't do anything illegal. It's just that it's been years and I was stupid back then with how I use to talk, and the overall I was pretty young.)
Then, I really moved on from GitHub, because I had other things to do in life. But the account that I was using at the time, su4o, was still safe and logged in.
Months and years pass, till Github added mandatory 2FA. And this is where all my stupidity came in. To keep it short, I set up 2FA via Microsoft Authenticator, but never backed it up to an account. So it was stored locally, on my iPad. Thing is, I was wiping my iPad to downgrade via using Terdus Merula and forgot to sync the auth code via cloud. So I lost my account. But it didn't hit me months later that I actually lost it. Because I was using another account, for professional use—which thinking about it now, I might aswell delete that account as its been pretty stale. And thus, I realized I had lost the recovery tokens for su4o. And that's why I made su6o.
The actual meaning of su4o is pretty simple. 4 in the alphabet counted is "d". If you replace 4 with d, you get sudo! Su6o is a bit of a stretch, but it really still works. 6 in the alphabet counted is f. Replace 6 for f and you get sufo. Sufo sounds like su4o, and you do the process for su4o, and you get sudo!
Overall, su6o is my main GitHub account that I use daily. It's what I use to contribute to projects—If you're reading this around August 2026, then I'm contributing to Testcord right now! It still hurts a bit to know that I lost an account so easily. In my mind, I really do think there's still a way, even to this day. Maybe I do have the recovery passwords, maybe I do have the 2FA somehow. But at the end, I know it's all a lot of cope, because I already tried everything! Now though, instead of being sad in the past, I try to look at the future, knowing that really nothing was lost in su4o. Why? Because it was a stale account to begin with. All I wanted to do with su4o was delete it to give myself a clean slate. But now, I can't. And worse, I'm linking back to my past, not having a clean slate. But why would I even try linking back to my past? It's because I had a legacy, a really small one in a really somewhat skid community.
So if you're seeing this, you can call me by su4o, su6o, or sudo. It will give me some nostalgia calling me su4o, but I don't mind.
